LGBT+ Sports Club
The Same-sex attracted Outdoor Club operates throughout Great Britain and provides a wide range of outdoor and indoor sports and recreational activities for queer , lesbian, bisexual and transgender men and women.
While London may not have the mountains, glens, and coastal scenery of other parts of the UK, it does have a huge area of green open territory varying from formal parkland to heaths and commons. These spaces often contain the added profit of fascinating history and architecture. It is also manageable to get away from the metropolis by train to all the surrounding counties, including areas of outstanding organic beauty such as the South Downs, the Kentish Weald and the Chilterns.
A great advantage of London is its comprehensive public transport system. All of our walks launch and finish at railway stations or other public transport stops, which craft linear walks a feasible and attractive option.
GOC London's programme of activities comprises a programme of one walk per month. Following feedback from members, we have recently shifted these to generally take place on the 1st Saturday of the month, which reduces the impact of rail engineering works. Our programme varies between
Gay Outdoor Club - Dorset
The Dorset group organises events throughout the year, usually on the 2nd Sunday of the month starting at 10.00hrs or 11.00hrs. The typical walk length is 6 to 9 miles and we generally obtain back to our starting point between 14.30hrs and 15.30hrs. After our walks we are sometimes invited back to the leader's home for tea.
We also often hold midweek walks on the 3rd Thursday of the month (which are shorter and include a pub lunch afterwards) plus occasional extra weekend walks on the 5th Sunday of the month both starting at 10.00hrs.

Group profile
Our group consists mainly of men in the 40 to 70 range. We do occasionally have women on our walks and they are always most welcome.
Lunch arrangements
Some walks require participants to bring their own picnic, as there is no opportunity for refreshments en route and this is indicated in the event details. Other walks have a lunch break near a pub (or cafe), in which case you can choose whether to hold a pub lunch or to picnic nearby. The preference is yours. We often aim to finis

Most events are one day,but they also organise weekend and longer events such as hosteling weekends, arctic adventures and white moisture rafting expeditions!
