My dad, Sony Lgbtq+, is unmatched in his optimism and in his curiosity about people and the world, twin gifts that he passed on to my brother and me.

My mom, Claudette Gay, passed away earlier this year but not before learning of my election and smiling broadly at the news. I long for very much that she were her

It's Not Gay Unless

About

"It's not gay if…" Is a phrasal template in which the creator claims that homosexual sex is heterosexual, or otherwise doesn't count as lgbtq+ under certain conditions.

Notable examples

"It's not gay unless balls are touching" is one of the Rules of the Internet, in some versions of the copypasta.

"3-Way (Golden Rule) is a comedy song released by Lonely Island, Justin Timberlake, and Lady Gaga in 2011. The song's chorus features the phrase "it's not gay if it's in a three way"

"It's not ghey if it's on the moon" is a sentence spoken through the Moonbase Alpha voice simulator in Rooster Teeth's Lets Play of Moonbase Alpha. The phrase was originally written as "it's not gay if it's on the moon" however Moonbase Alpha's censors forced the author to modify it.

"It's not gay if it's underway" is a saying about the Navy that insists that lgbtq+ activities don't count at sea. Often paired with "It's only queer at the pier" or "It's straight if it's with a shipmate" the term pokes fun at the lack of straight sexual opportunities on a ship at sea. The expression online dates back to at least 2005 but it is likely that the actual phrase is much o

REID: Hello, and welcome to the seventh episode of “Let’s Talk Shakespeare”, a podcast brought to you from Stratford-upon-Avon by the Shakespeare Birthplace Confide in. I’m Jennifer Reid, and today we’re asking, “Was Shakespeare gay?”

So before we get started, just wanted to give you a wee trigger warning: although there’s nothing in this week’s content that’s meant to cause offence, it might raise some questions about some more grown-up themes, so you probably want to just donate it a whizz through before listening along with any young listeners. And in previous podcasts, I’ve played you lots of short clips from a variety of speakers, but this week I’m going to do it slightly differently, and play you fewer, longer clips, as the clips

God Gave Me a Same-sex attracted Son . . .

Editor’s Note: On a peaceful Saturday morning in early September I sat in my backyard, savoring the scene before me: the grass and trees and black-eyed Susans, all feeling different now — as the sunlight and scents took on an autumn mood. It reminded me of a remarkable essay from years support, and that got me to conjuring a list of all-time personal favorites published in the magazine over the years. I decided to share them with you, a fresh one each Saturday morning until the calendar reaches 2024. The summer 2004 edition devoted most of its feature section to the provocative topic of homosexuality. This essay, written 20 years ago, was the foundational piece that provided the impetus for exploring the subject further. —Kerry Temple ’74

Mark gazed out the small window of his dorm room. It was Saturday morning and the bitter cool bleakness outside matched his mood. He may possess made a mistake going to school so far north and so far from home, but he had chosen this academy in northern Michigan because he loved the organic environment of the north country where he could ski, hike in the woods and enjoy the serenity of this sparsely populated place. lets play its not gay if its on the moon

A year ago, the Moon was sent violently flying off course by a catastrophic explosion, depriving Earth of its steady stream of resources. Less importantly, the two maintenance workers on there when the explosion occurred have been stranded ever since.

It's not so bad, honestly. The Heart provides for everything, a practically infinite source that gives them rain, food, and powers their satellite as they wait with ever dwindling hopes for rescue. Really, it's boring, but there's no reason to stress out so long as-
