Transgender Behavioral Health and Therapy

LGBTQ+ Health Services has a transgender-specific integrated tend behavioral health provider accessible for short-term or long-term therapy, as well as interviews for gender-affirming surgery letters of support.

This provider is available to any of Denver Health’s transgender/gender noncomforming patients, offering affirming services to handle all manner of mental health difficulties or stressors in adults, adolescents, and children. 

Behavioral Health Services for Transgender Individuals

Behavioral health counseling/therapy services cover many domains including depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, life stressors, grief, interpersonal conflict, sexuality, trauma, neurodiversity, dissociation, and exploring gender. Your main center does not need to be your gender self in order to access services with this deliverer. Intensive outpatient (IOP) services and primary substance utilize disorder services are not currently available. Behavioral health services are offered in person, by phone or by video.
