Lgbtq special meaning for pandas
As some of you may know, I absolutely love pandas. I mean, what’s not to cherish about those bamboo-loving, forward-rolling little babes? They’re an star. A symbol of hope and determination to just be themselves, regardless of what the society thinks they should do. They’re survivors too. Until recently they were critically endangered. Yeh, human intervention (such as dedicated sanctuaries and breeding programmes) own helped…but pandas still do things their way. Like me, pandas love to sleep too. Haha.
So given my desire of pandas, and love for wanting to make a difference and aid people, I’m really stoked to be a part of Trans Panda, the awesome new label set up by Jordan Santamaria aka The Real Transgender Guy. It’s a range of clothing and apparel for all genders and identities. The range features loads of cool designs and styles, which are as diverse as the LGBTQ group itself. London Bi Pandas are a collective of bi+ activists, supporters and allies. As a community group we are trying to create spaces for bi+ folks to feel like they involve. Both bi-phobia and bi-erasure has often meant that bi+ people are often excluded from both “straight” and “gay” spaces. And as activists, we need to connect with each other on more than just our sexuality, but our values and behavior. We go to protests together, we march, we host vigils, we host events.
The name came from a joke that’s been floating around the bisexual community for a long time, that despite being labelled as “greedy” or “promiscuous”, bisexual people are in fact not very good at flirting!

I met my dad for the first second since I was little when I was 15, and I went to live with him to escape a bad situation with no idea what he'd be enjoy. My mom had called ahead to tell him all sorts of "bad" (mostly inaccurate) things about me, that I was into partying and drugs, that I was super promiscuous, etc.
My dad was driving me advocate to the airport and tried to tackle these subjects, then got to the promiscuity bit, and tried to give me some sort of trustworthy sex talk, and boys think enjoy this or that talk. It was excruciatingly awkward and I finally just shouted, "OMG no, just stop! I'm gay! A lesbian! There are no boys!"
