Billie Eilish Shares New Single ‘wish you were gay’
Love hurts, especially when you're young.
And it's easy to forget that Billie Eilish is still young – strikingly so.
Still only 17 years old, she actually wrote noticeable new single 'wish you were gay' when she was just 14 years old, a blast of precocious pop that deals with unrequited desire.
Online now, it's another storming return from the pop prodigy, the relentless twists and turns of the verse resolved by that punchy chorus.
She explains…
‘wish you were gay' is about wanting to be with someone so bad it hurts, and not wanting to accept that this person doesn’t want you in return. At least if they were gay, I’d hold a valid reason for their rejection and lack of interest in existence with me. I wrote the anthem when I was 14 and madly in love with a boy. It’s supposed to be a fun and playful way at dealing with rejection.

At first she was just the internet’s little secret and now she is selling out shows worldwide and securing her throne at the top as one of the biggest and most exciting young newcomers. At only 17 years old, Eilish is killing it in her road. Her maturity is beyond her years and with the help from her brother FINNEAS her movie belongs in a whole other universe. Her debut album ‘When We Drop Asleep, Where Do We Go’ will be released at the end of the month and this dark album will capture a lot of feelings. One of those feelings is the fear of rejection. ‘Wish You Were Gay’ reflects on entity rejected by a guy she liked which she thought was because she was a shitty person so she believed instead that he was same-sex attracted to try have tranquility with the situation. I mean, that is a pretty great way to try get over someone but I just aspire this song was stronger with it’s punch. It comfortably sits within it’s moody production where as I wish it would just give you something more than just powerful lyrics. “I can’t relate you how much I wish I didn’t wanna stay. I just kinda wish you were gay”. The whole time I found myself waiting for an i Billie Eilish wishes the boy that turned her down is gay on new song LikeLoading... I really like the tune of Wish You Were Gay by Billie Eilish and it has been stuck in my chief lately, but as far as the lyrics travel, I have a lot of thoughts. Since it involves romance and such, I figured this would be a good place to write an loyal review. Before I begin, please note that regardless of what I think of this particular song, I still think Billie is very talented and I'm not trying to abhor on her. Another thing I'd like to bring up is that in case you haven't already noticed, it is NOT an LGBT anthem (there are still some people who think this for some reason.) The lyrics, for anyone who doesn't feel enjoy listening to the song: "Baby, I don't feel so good" Six words you never understood "I'll never let you go" Five words you'll never say I laugh along prefer nothing's wrong Four days has never felt so long If three's a crowd and two was us, one slipped away [Chorus] I just wanna make you feel okay But all you do is look the other way I can't tell you how much I wish I didn't wanna stay I just kinda wish you were gay Is there a reason we're not through? Is there a 12 step just for you? Our co
A Bit Of Pop Music
At the end of this month Billie Eilish is finally dropping her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go. The 17-year-old pop star dropped her most recent single ‘Bury A Friend’ earlier this year and is ready to provide us another flavor of the album. Today she dropped the song ‘Wish You Were Gay’, a slow burning track that starts off with just guitar and Billie’s voice. We notice audience reactions to what she sings, until an electronic production kicks in for the chorus. Eilish explained the meaning behind the song on Instagram. She fell in love with a guy who did not have feelings for her and the easiest way to accept that, would be if he turned out to be male lover. She would own rather been turned down because of the guy’s sexual orientation, than that it would include something to carry out with her personally. Good point Billie, good point! She wrote a spotless pop chorus about it, which she produced together with her brother Finneas. Her debut album is shaping up to be one of the defining pop releases of 2019.Like this:
