Sexuality and Gender Acceptance Club
Together we construct a loving and supportive family for the Queer/LGBTQIA+ collective and supporters. We are dedicated to club members and student achievement in the academic, social, political, and personal aspects of their lives. Join our club and understand about yourself, others, and the planet. Come to a meeting and review us out.

Ally LGBTQIA+ and Gender Identity
Ally supports the LGBTQIA (Lesbian, Homosexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual) community on campus — encouraging individuals to provide a haven and empathetic ear to anyone concerned with sexual orientation or gender identity issues. Once this focused training initiative is completed, participants are given a placard to post.
LGBTQIA+
LGBTQIA+ individuals need inclusive and affirming mental health help tailored to the unusual challenges they may meet. Below are resources that can support general mental health and well-being for LGBTQIA+ identifying individuals, in addition to tailored crisis intervention and suicide prevention resources, and resources for families too.
Immediate Crisis
If you or someone you concern about is in passionate distress or crisis and needs immediate help, name the Helpline at 951-686-HELP anytime to speak with trained professionals confidentially and for free. They can assist you in accessing mental health services in Riverside County. The National Crisis line is also available, call or message 988 24/7. If emergency medical care is needed, call 9-1-1 or travel to the emergency room of the nearest hospital.
Mental Health Urgent Care
If you are having a mental health crisis, and desire counseling and nursing, or psychiatric medications, you can call or walk into a Riverside County 24/7 Mental Health Urgent Concern location (locations and more info available here). Whether you are in crisis or just need someone to talk to, all services are voluntary and do

Trans-led organization that connects Trans people to the community support, and resources they need to survive and thrive. Gender non-conforming Lifeline’s Hotline is a peer support phone service run by trans people for our trans and questioning peers.

A Affluent History: Riverside boasts a fascinating history that dates back to its founding in the 1870s. It was once home to the Mission Inn, a sprawling hotel with a stunning Spanish Colonial Revival architecture that has hosted numerous presidents and celebrities over the years. Today, the Mission Inn remains one of Riverside's most iconic landmarks, and visitors can explore its attractive interior and learn about its storied past.

An “Ally” is a visible member of the Riverside Community District group (staff, faculty or students) who is willing to provide a safe haven and empathetic ear to anyone concerned with sexual orientation or gender culture issues. Seminars are provided at all colleges and includes a panel of LGBT students, dialogue around LGBT issues, training regarding resources and addressing heterosexism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia.
