Fun ways to insult straight people when youre gay
8 ways to piss off queers
It’s springtime in Iceland, when the sun shining in the morning means that you’ll be buried under a mountain of snow by noon. It’s the season which brings out the irony in Icelanders and so in that spirit here are eight surefire ways for you cis straight folk out there to piss your queer friends off – just in case you wandered into this site.
1. Narrate queer people that they don’t face any discrimination.
Things are pretty good for homosexual people in Iceland, aren’t they? Homosexuals can unite, transsexuals can undergo gender affirming surgeries and lesbians can become prime ministers. You’re not aware of any discrimination or prejudice against queer people and you should know because you have a homosexual cousin. So why bother asking queer people if they feel marginalized or discriminated against in their daily lives? Just travel ahead and state the fact. If you aren’t aware of it, it doesn’t exist.
2. Advise them on the best way to gain equality.
Because after all you’re an expert, right? So try out these classics:

THINGS NOT TO Utter TO QUEER PEOPLE
NOTE: These were compiled directly from followers on my Instagram. If these undertake not resonate with you and you are comfortable creature asked these things, that’s great!
But I offer a gentle reminder that just because you are comfortable answering these questions does NOT mean that everyone else should also be.
Having the passionate space & grounding & energy to answer these questions is a privilege that not everyone holds. Though I personally am easy answering many of these, my comfort and personal privilege of energy & grounding does not mean that people should ask these questions, nor does it mean that all trans people must answer them!

Being Homosexual is almost never a phase. People are not same-sex attracted or trans or bi because ”it’s cool.” Being Gay in this earth is often very difficult and many queer folks I know spent years trying desperately to be straight or cis to evade the pain and discrimination we life. LGBTQ
Acronym for lesbian, lgbtq+, bisexual, transgender, and queer. The Q generally stands for queer when LGBTQ organizations, leaders, and media use the acronym. In settings offering support for youth, it can also stand for questioning. LGBT and LGBTQ+ are also used, with the + added in recognition of all non-straight, non-cisgender identities. (See Transgender Glossary ) Both are acceptable, as are other versions of this acronym. What was unusual in the recent incident is the young age of the child.
The most familiar insult among kids today is “gay.” It is used not only to mean "someone who is attracted to people of his/her own gender," but as a synonym for “stupid” or "bad." Kids get mad when they are called gay and they sometimes get into fights.
I have great caring for gays. Not only do they have to deal with the derision and even hatred of a large proportion of the general public, they also need to deal with their own angst about being different.
What is one to do when called gay? The anti-bully movement is trying to solve the problem by passing laws making it illegal to insult anyone. Many anti-bully activists assert that anti-bully laws should specifically mention insults against gays and those of non-heterosexual orientions. If it becomes a crime to insult people, then, it is hoped, no one will be attacked with the “gay” insult, and the associated violence will disappear.
